The real constraint: 5,000 characters per generation
That's roughly 800–1,000 words, depending on sentence length — a short chapter section, not a full book. A typical 80,000-word novel needs to be generated in something like 80–100 separate passes, downloaded as separate MP3s, and stitched together in an audio editor.
That makes this a good fit for: previewing how a chapter sounds before committing to full production, narrating shorter works (short stories, guides, single chapters), or producing a sample/preview of a longer book. It's a poor fit if what you want is one button that turns an entire manuscript into a finished audiobook automatically — nothing on the market does that well, and this tool doesn't pretend to either.
Choosing a narration mode
Single narrator
The default choice for most books — one consistent voice reading straight prose.

In practice, most audiobook chapters mix narration and dialogue — many creators generate the narrator's lines in the single-voice tool and character dialogue separately in the multi-speaker tool, then combine both in an editor.
A realistic chapter workflow
1. Import a section
Upload the chapter as a PDF or Word file, or paste the text directly.
2. Split at 5,000 characters
Long chapters need breaking into pieces that fit one generation each.
3. Generate each piece
Same voice and settings each time, so the chapter sounds consistent.
4. Stitch in your editor
Combine the downloaded MP3s into one chapter file, e.g. in Audacity.
Publishing rights aren't something we can tell you
Whether AI-narrated audio can be sold commercially, and what disclosure it needs, depends on the platform you publish through (Audible/ACX, Findaway, direct sale, etc.) and on their current policies, which change. Check the specific platform's current AI-narration terms before you commit production time — we can't give you an answer that would stay accurate.

No. Each generation is capped at 5,000 characters, so a full book has to be produced in many separate sections and combined afterward.
Will the voice stay consistent across sections?
Yes, as long as you pick the same voice and the same pitch/rate/volume settings for every section of the chapter.
