Adding audio to an article
- Paste the article text. Leave out captions, bylines and “related posts” — they read oddly out loud.
- Generate the MP3. A clear voice at steady pace suits people listening while doing something else.
- Host and embed. Upload the MP3 to your CMS or media host and add an
<audio>player near the top of the post.
A minimal embed looks like this:

Long articles need splitting
A 2,000-word feature exceeds one take. Generate it in sections, then use “Download all” and join the files in an editor.
Check names and jargon
Proper nouns and industry terms are occasionally mispronounced — listen once before publishing and spell tricky words phonetically in the script.
Mark the structure
Insert [[p1200]] before each subheading so listeners hear where a new section starts.
Multilingual editions
Generate a separate audio version for each translated edition, with a voice in that language.
